Daclatasvir is used with another antiviral drug (sofosbuvir) to treat chronic (long-lasting) hepatitis C, a viral infection of the liver. Daclatasvir should not be used without sofosbuvir. Daclatasvir and sofosbuvir can be used with another antiviral medicine (ribavirin). These drugs together reduce the amount of hepatitis C virus in your body that helps the immune system fight the infection and can help the liver recover. Chronic hepatitis C can cause serious liver problems such as scarring (cirrhosis) or liver cancer.
